ReflexAI

Bringing AI crisis response training to life

Challenge

ReflexAI leverages conversational AI to simulate and automatically score realistic role plays to help crisis organizations scale and improve crisis training in a cost-effective way.

Under pressure to get their products off the ground and ready for launch, I was brought in not only as a tactical resource, but also as a strategic partner to rapidly address a growing list of critical product areas in need of exploration.

Solution

I helped the founders and product managers make informed decisions about what to build and why while helping the engineering team maintain momentum in production.

This was the first pilot build, intentionally kept rough to validate the interaction model before investing too deeply in visual polish.

Collaborating with Engineering

The eng team was very thoughtful and overall I really enjoyed working with them.

Together we ran regular review sessions as the product evolved, allowing us space to discuss feasibility constraints and brainstorm alternate solutions that would

support both a good user experience and engineering priorities.

As a designer, I would make the case for certain designs if I thought they would reduce risk in the future or were critical to supporting product adoption.

Outcome

My foundational product and design system work set the course for future rounds of development and I’m delighted to see ReflexAI enjoying measurable success with it’s customers as a result.

The engineering team also had nice things to say about my work ☺️ :

As a frontend engineer I absolutely loved your designs and the way Figma is structured, it really made my job easier.

Your work on UX / UI has always been impressive, and your thoroughness when it comes to describing every scenario has helped us a lot.
